Here again I may be off in left field, but I believe there was a stone step in front of a Higbee main (Division St) street building, leading to what would have been an upstairs office, that had the Murrell/Merrell name on it...again, I may be wrong.

If Murrell was in Higbee, I don't know, as that was before my knowledge of family and much before I knew there had been a divorce. But since his in-laws were from Randolph Co., it's a very good possibility.
