    3. I have a Waldo Malone, born about 1908, the son of Homan H. Malone (8 Apr 1870 - 10 Sep 1949, Huntsville, MO) and Myrtle Cubbage (19 Aug 1881, Randolph Co. - 11 Jun 1943, Huntsville, MO). I think Waldo is the only child of Homan and Myrtle, but I'm not certain. I think Homan's father was Alexander Morehead Malone, who lived SW of Huntsville. Higbee News: 1 Apr 1904--Married, on March 30, 1904, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Cubbage, near Yates, Miss Myrtie Cubbage and Mr. H. H. Malone. The NEWS joins other friends in extending congratulations. The 1930 census says Waldo is a schoolteacher. Is this the same Waldo mentioned in emails earlier today? Charles A. Leach [email protected]

    3. I dare say it is....in those days anyone who'd gone to high school and was 21 or so could teach in the one-room schools. I imagine that is where Waldo and Loretta met. He was probably a mail carrier later in life.

    3. I dare say When Thomas Hill High Scholl closed down in 1951 or 1952 Waldo Malone became a rural mail carrier and him and Dr Rains shared a willeys jeep when it rained because the roads between Clifton Hill and Thomas Hill were dirt. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carey Bankhead" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2006 2:09 PM Subject: Re: [MoRandolph] Malone >I dare say it is....in those days anyone who'd gone to high school and was >21 or so could teach in the one-room schools.
