Welch and his son H. Scott Welch. This paper covered the Higbee area and the northeastern part of Howard county. Hargis had as their guests Monday and Monday night their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harris and three sons, Raymond, Jimmie and Gordon, of Gwynne, Alberta, Canada. It had been 18 years since Ernest's last visit, when he and "Did" were bachelors. Needless to add that the reunion of their families was enjoyed to the utmost. Boyhood friends of Mr. Harris may be interested in knowing that he owns and successfully operates a silver fox and mink ranch, and also raises grain extensively. The honor guests were Mr. Bradley's nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Harris and four sons of Alberta, Canada. All brought baskets loaded with the choicest foods which were spread on a long table on the lawn at the noon hour.
