If someone on the list has access to marriage notices around 1898-99, I'd like to find out whether James F. Nichols and Nancy King Melone were married in Randolph County. The 1900 census shows them living in Moberly and married one year. Thanks! Linda Deppner

Linda, According to Harlan's Transcription of Marriages & Deaths in Randolph Co., MO from 1854-1949, Book 1890-1899, Pg 26 states that J.O. Nichols married Mrs. N. J. Melone December 21, 1898. Their marriage article appeared in the December 22, 1898, Moberly Daily Monitor. You can obtain a copy of the marriage notice by contacting the Moberly Public Library.
