    3. Brack Terrill was the son of Wm. & Susan Bagby Terrill; Wm was the son of James A. & Susan Cave Terrill, etc. I've done quite a bit of work on the Higbee area Magruders for Ron & Martha, children of Ruby Terrill Magruder and will gladly share (not that it is all my original work!)

    3. Hi Cary, My g-aunt married a Terrill and I believe I heard my mother speak about Ruby Terrill. Who were Ruby’s parents? Another of my g-aunts married a Hayden. Who were the parents of Martha Alice Hayden? I also had relatives with ties to Magruders. For example, in 1854 John Thomas Magruder was wed to his second wife, my Ggg-aunt Nancy Hardin. Wish I could help you discover the parentage of Ruby Terrill’s husband David Thomas Magruder. Recently you mentioned a Popie Terrill. I’m wondering if this Popie might be one in the same as Jessie Pope Terrill (b. abt 1866) whose parents were William C. and Mary Susan (Bagby) Terrill. -- Ben --- Carey Bankhead <[email protected]> wrote: > Brack Terrill was the son of Wm. & Susan Bagby > Terrill; Wm was the son of James A. & Susan Cave > Terrill, etc. I've done quite a bit of work on the > Higbee area Magruders for Ron & Martha, children of > Ruby Terrill Magruder and will gladly share (not > that it is all my original work!) > > > ==== MORANDOL Mailing List ==== > Questions for the List Administrator? > Send them to Leslie at [email protected] > > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. (Please let me know if a more lengthy email didn't just arrive.....my PC is trying to add to the mysteries of genealogy this afternoon!!) I forgot to mention that when I was associated with the Higbee Savings Bank, I read several abstracts for properties there abouts, and seem to recall that land near the Botts Cem was owned by an L. A. Pope, and I assume some of his children married into the Terrills. J. B. "Brack" Terrill's first wife was a Pope, I believe, at least he is buried in the Botts Cem while most of the Terrills are in graveyards farther west of Higbee.

    2. My grandmother always told me that somewhere around the Creek some Civil War soldiers were buried. Was this burying place ever found? I know my great-grandfather also owned a farm. I have always wondered if there are graves out there too.
