    3. Another county in Kentucky from which came many of the Randolph County citizens is Wayne County, Kentucky. The Poe, Duncan, Dodson, and Denney families all have ties to Wayne County, Kentucky. Also another family from Madison County, Kentucky was the Perkins families. Noah I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. William Penn

    3. Hello List and especially "NOAH", I have been waiting to see if anybody would add one of the major Kentucky Counties for migration to Randolph. Noah, you did, and it is Wayne Co., Ky. The families that I have documented over the last ten years include the ones you mentioned as well as the RAMSEY, BAKER, SUMMERS, SUMPTER, MIKEL, BURRIS, DAVIS, ACREY, BURTON, GREEN, TUTTLE, VICKERY, AND WRIGHT families. I am sure there are more and in time I will find them. I am related to most of these families listed above and would love to communicate with any and all. Another interesting thing about these migrations from Wayne Co. they lasted for a long, long period of time. I have the first arrivals around 1810 and the last around 1900. 2. Bill, I would like to know about your Green family from Wayne County. My Green line came out of Henry County and settled in Boone. There is also a Green line in Howard out of Madison County. I have wondered for a long time if these lines might be connected somehow. RJ

    3. I have enjoyed all the postings lately, but I am especially excited about the posting from Bill Ramsey. He mentioned SUMMERS and SUMPTER and I have connections to both surnames. My great-grandmother was Caroline Summers (born about 1835) - she was the daughter of Aaron Summers and Catherine Roberts. Caroline Summers married William Irvin Phipps. They had 2 children - James Irvin Phipps & Thomas Phipps. My ggg-grandfather was John H. Sumpter who married Sarah Sallie Phipps - their daughter, Angeletta Sumpter (born 27 June 1823 in Kentucky) was marrried to Benjamin Cozad. The daughter of Benjamin and Angeletta Cozad was Nancy Elizabeth Cozad (born 5 March 1849). She married William Ratliff. The daughter of William and Nancy Ratliff was Sallie Anjaletta Ratliff (born 9 Dec 1869 in Kaseyville, MO) Sallie Anjaletta married James Irvin Phipps (born 2 Feb 1864 in Jacksonville, Randolph Co, MO) - son of Caroline Summers and William Irvin Phipps (see above) Sallie Anjaletta and James Irvin Phipps were the parents of my mother. If any of you have connections to any of my relatives - I would love to hear from you. Waneva Hill Maymon
