    3. There was also an interesting migration from Caswell Co., NC to Randolph Co., MO, which occurred around 1830. The "caravan" included the following families: Dameron, Malone, Mathis, Upton, Jackson. Am I missing anyone? This migration is mentioned in the memoirs of George Washington Dameron, which was written in 1898. If memory serves, he stated that there were about 100 people in the "caravan" including slaves. My gggg grandparents Bartholomew Dameron and wife Rebecca Malone in addition to my ggg grandparents Alexander Morehead Dameron and wife Patsy Dupuy Dameron would have been in this group. I believe too that my ggg grandfather William Upton and wife Susannah Mathis in addition to William Upton's mother-in-law Nancy Ann Morehead Dameron (who married Vines Mathis in 1788 in Brunswick Co., VA) would have been in this group. I think William Upton's biography (which is also found in the George Washington Dameron memoirs mentions him having lived in Tennessee for a short period of time. David

    3. You mentioned Kimbroughs coming to MO..Do you know of Angeline? This is all I have on her. Angeline Kimbrough? Or nick name of Mandania-I have never seen anyone write about her. Supposedly she married Lucious Tanner Burton first, and had a son Jasper. . My father-in-law never heard of her. The only clue is on a headstone. Taken from Rootsweb- Elijah Burton Cemetery The headstone reads: Mandania Burton Wife of L T D Mar 7 1848 Age 24y 5m 27d Jasper N Burton Sep 9 1846 Aug 2 1847 The last two are on one stone probably Mother and Son. LT was the son of Elijah and Polly and is buried at Antioch cemetery next to his second wife, Mandania is thought to be Angeline Kimbrough that LT married in 1841. Thanks Again. 3. The Kitchen family was probably part of this group. Most of them settled in Macon CO. but a daughter Mary married Henderson Terry of Randolph Co. May the warm wind of Heaven blow softly on your home, May the Great Spirit Bless all who enter there, May your moccasins make happy tracks in many snows, And may the rainbow gently touch your shoulder.
