Thanks for pointing that out for me, Kathy. Thanks also for Carole's excellent information...I should have paid better attention. I looked on the Randolph Co. site at: http://www.yggdrasill.net/mgen/bdeath.htm and found this, which is difficult for me to make out: Burton, Ambrose W. -- Will; wife Martha E.; children; p. 23 Jun 1851 Burton, Ann -- Heirs: James A. & John G. & William W. & George G. & Richard H. & Francis S. Burton, James M. Wright a minor, Mildred M. Brown, heirs & children; signed William W. & F.S. Burton; p. 9 Sep 1852; w\o William, mother of Frances A. Wight, 14 Dec 1785-15 Jun 1852, moved from Oldham Co., KY 1840 = Oakland Cem I couldn't make out an exact dod from the above, but it was apparently after 1850. I didn't find his wife Martha at that site. Maybe they are both buried in Oakland Cem. and they can be found there. Are the names in that cemetery online? But it complicates the issue further. It looks like the same couple, but they show different children from those on the census. The 1850 census for Randolph Co., MO - specifically page 274. On the page is listed the family of "A.W. Burton" wife Martha ( age 32) and their children William (12), Martha (10), Frances (8), May (6 and a male), John (3) and Burilla (1 month). Maybe Carole can help us out. Carole, I tried to send you an email to ask if I could post your references, but apparently I had an old email address as it bounced back.
