    2. The following is all I have on HOLMAN. Maybe it will help. (1) 1. William C. HOLMAN Birth Date: 7 Jan 1778 Death Date: 26 Feb 1834 Death Place: Randolph Co., MO Notes: The portion of Randolph Co. which borders upon Howard Co. was settled first; now known as Silver Creek and Moniteau twps. The first white man to settle in Randolph Co., was William HOLMAN, who emigrated to MO in 1817 from Madison co., KY to Howard Co., then moved in 1818 to Randolph Co. Squire Holman (short article from Macon True Democrat) Born Madison co., KY October 1807. His father, William HOLMAN, along with James DYSART (father of Rev. James DYSART) and Joseph HOLMAN (brother of William) were the first settlers of Randolph Co. When Randolph was organized, it included Macon and all territory north to the Iowa line, or Indian Territory. Huntsville was laid out shortly after Squire HOLMAN was grown. William HOLMAN had a horse mill and cotton gin. In 1858 HOLMAN settled in Macon co, 3 miles north of Callao and 4 miles west of Bloomington, and he died in 1875.
