To list members & Carey Bankhead. When I placed the newspaper obituary of my relation, Ruby F. (Terrill) Magruder. My query at the bottom was for farther information on her husband,. David Thomas Magruder. I have no intention in doing nor do I have Magruder genealogy. And I had failed in my attempts to locate Marriage/divorce dates, death date & cemetery location on him. I did not say Calvin Magruder came from PA. I said "I THINK he came from PA" Excuse me for THINKING. I suggest you re read. This information you supplied, in part, is what I needed. & was looking for ----------------------------------------- Carry bankhead wrote Both Calvin and David T. are buried in Log Chapel Cem on Rte H south of Higbee, along with other of their Magruder and Dennis kin. Also that he, David, was divorced from Ruby Frances (Terrill) Magruder. ----------------------------------------- It doesn't take very much imagination to conclude if a spouse isn't mentioned on an obituary that they are divorced. I discovered that David Thomas Magruder was born Jan 09 1904 & died Sept 18-1965. James M Bagby Indep. MO **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance. Hi James. As iron sharpens iron, your reply prompted me to reexamine the credibility of my data and for a while I was just about ready to shove Richmond back into the closet too. There is a lot of confusion to be observed from information in a lot of Rootsweb databases as it pertains to early Terrills in America. The confusion is in who begat whom and the dates involved are all over the place. Looking through your internet-posted familytreemaker database it seemed to me you have it pretty well together. I found few Rootsweb databases displaying and fitting together, as you do, Timothy Terrill as son of William Terrill and Susannah Waters and husband of Elizabeth Foster and father of Robert Terrill (b. 1697). Moreover, Rootsweb Bob Suddaths Rootsweb database named :2911729 boasts notes and sources and shows your William Terrills g-grandparents as William Terrill and Margaret Richmond/Webb. Suddaths database also is consistent with your familytreemaker database and it shows Richmond Terrill as the father of your William Terrill who was married to Susannah Waters. I mentioned President Jimmy Carter and President-aspirant Barack Obama before but incidentally I also show William and Susannah were ancestors of my 5C3R Lucy Burruss who married my 3C5R John D. Fristoe. Fristoe was a g-uncle of the notorious Thomas Coleman Cole Younger. -- Ben Hardin --- ITSJBAGBY@aol.com wrote: > > Ben it is interesting how all these families > intertwine thru marriage. > I don't have a Richmond Terrill in my data base. > You mention that he is related to aspiring > presidential candidates > That's a shame, but you know we all have black sheep > in our family. > I must have put Richmond back in the closet TIC. >
Mr Bagby My brother and I have worlds of info on the Terrill Family. You have talked with Charlie before I know. Where a lot of people get messed up on the Family in Missouri is that I believe his name was John Terrill came from Ky and settled around close to Burton in Howard Cty, he had at least 10 kids maybe more, my gt-gt-gt gradfather Robert Terrill (his brother) died in Ky and his widow and another 10 or 12 kids came to live close to John in Howard cty. Johns wife died so Roberts widow married John that made over 20 Terrill kids in the same house and a bunch of them had the same first names so that creates a lot of confusion if people dont look close. M y Gr-gr grand father was one of those kids, his name was also Robert , he became a doctor and practiced in Howard cty from Fayette to a little town north of hwy 36 named Lingo ( at that time Howard county was much larger than today). His main office was in Darksville where he also hade a large farming operation.
