I've been lurking for a while, and decided it was time to post my Randolph County line. I'm looking for Collins (Thomas Jefferson Collins, son of Lewis Franklin Collins, b. 1818 in KY.) Lewis married Permilia Artman, aka Milly. Thomas also mentioned a Grandmother Heather (last name). They were in Randolph County near Huntsville by 1830, and left for Taney County just after the Civil War. Ingrid Albers

Hi everyone. The slave db for African Americans in Missouri is being updated... it has been removed from the Rootsweb server and put it on my own domain at <http://www.Missouri-Slave-Data.org>. With the merger of ancestry and the changes at Rootsweb... I did not feel comfortable... so I moved it. No hard feelings... just insecurity on my behalf. I enjoyed very much working with Rootsweb..it was a great experience. If you go to http://www.missouri-slave-sata.org/slaveinfo.html; scroll down to the middle of the page... past the Missouri Slave db...it is a long page... and closer to the middle you will find several links for slave schedules... including some links for Randolph, Cooper, Morgan, Adair, Howard etc. Just so you know... the link for Missouri Slave Data on the slaveinfo.html... is out of service temporarily. The Frontier Families of Missouri db is still available and will soon feature a search engine to make research easier. I will also have a new search engine for the slave db which allows quick access and returns. Sorry for the confusion... I'll keep you posted as to when it will be back online. traci wilson kleekamp African Americans in Missouri There is also a new url link at: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/mo/topic/afro-amer/ you can post will, probate and other records! Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that African Americans in Missouri has new site addresses. You can post wills, probate, obituaries and queries and private family data (farms records, ledgers etc.) here. New URL: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/mo/topic/afro-amer/ Old URL: http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/indexusg.html The old link is still working; but please bookmark the new address link. Also I have picked up my own domain at Missouri-Slave-Data.org which will mirror the above links -- but it is currently being updated along with the slave database. Soon there will be a new search engine and other goodies to help those seeking enslaved ancestors and those wishing to contribute to African American research. New items on the site... these are big files and may take a moment to load. Mount Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Roll Records for 1849; slaves noted http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/mtnebo.html Howard County Black Marriages 1865-66 http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/howardblk.html.xls Cooper County Black Marriages 1865-66 http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/cooperafrican.html Make sure you check the Marriage, Census and Cemetery Data link http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/Document.html for Franklin, Washington and Morgan Co Missouri Black Marriage records. I can do look-ups for 1865-66 St. Charles Co Black Marriages; as I haven't had a chance to transcribe them yet!! I've been swamped with the kids being home and summer activities. Some of you have sent me data that I haven't been able to get online yet. I will continue to apologize until there at least 24 more hours in the day (AND THE KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!) To save time, please feel free to copy and paste your wills, probate records etc. to: New URL: <http://www.usgennet.org/usa/mo/topic/afro-amer/>. I will be posting information related to WALKER, TUTT, DUNN, CHISM, OGLE, & HOWARD in the coming weeks... so check back regularly. I have accumulated a good number of wills etc from my travels. Don't forget to check our VOLUNTEERS link if you need help with look ups at: <http://www.usgennet.org/~ahtopaag/volunteers.html> More soon......... I still have to tell you about my 2000 trip to Missouri!! Traci Wilson Kleekamp African Americans in Missouri New URL: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/mo/topic/afro-amer/
