    2. Matt and Christy McKinsey
    3. Cecy, Thank you very much for all that you are doing. Do your records include information from the Antioch Church of Moberly? Also, could you check for the following people: James W. McKinsey Napolean McKinsey Albert B. McKinsey They were children of William McKinsey, Jr. and Elanor G. Owen. You might see if it is spelled McKenzie. I thought I saw either Albert or Napolean on a mortality schedule for 1870 but I can't remember for sure. Thanks again, Matt McKinsey

    3. Jerry SCOTT - nothing on the names you sent. Scott's Mill - The Court ordered a bridge across Middle Fork near Scott's Mill, James Bradley to plan it. (6/4/1872). There are other Scotts, one was Dr. Andrew WScott, a dentist in Huntsville. Another interesting entry: A borther of Dr. Scott of this city who has not been heard of for over 10 years and who it was thought had been murdered by Indians about 8 years ago has turned up in Montana alive and well; he had been severly wounded by the savages; made his way to New Mexico where for a long time he lay disabled but he at last made his was to Montana and wrote some of his relatives (11/20/1873) Cecy "Scott, Jerry" wrote: > Hi Cecy, > I have many roots in Randolph County, MO. especially around > Clifton Hill. 1. [MORANDOL-L] Warfords in family file - a few
    2. Hello, Have a few early Warfords in family file from Randolph County, probably later Howard County. Here they are: Luvicy (Lavica) Henderson born April 16, 1811 in Madison County Ky, daughter of Joseph Henderson & Lucy Collier married Levi Warford Aug 20, 1826. Luvicy Henderson Warford died Nov 18, 1863 in Randolph County. Don't know when Levi died nor children. Luvicy sister Delitha Henderson married an Abraham Warford, but looks like he died before 1838 and don't know if any children were born. Quite a few Warfords in the area so say the least. 3. Probably not much help but there were also Warford's in the Higbee, Randolph County, Mo area. I can remember visiting my parents and attending a funeral with then, probably in Howard County. The deceased was a Warford and his brother was the officiating minister. Could have been New Hope Cemetery in Howard Couny south of Higbee, but not sure as this was probably in the early 1960's. 3. I'd really like to thank the marvelous listers who have responded tremendously over the past few days. I've met several new cousins, found cemeteries, and whetted my appetite for coming to Missouri in June for more research. [I live in CT.] Now, here is my favor. My mother is Mary Eleanor [Warford] DuBois. So far as I know, she is not yet a member of this list. She will be rounding that 80-year mark [shhhh, don't tell her I told] in June and I want to surprise her with a lot of genealogy on her side of the family. You see, for years my mother worked tirelessly on my father's genealogy, figuring she could do her own "someday" rather easily. I joined in the hunt two years ago. But until the past few weeks, we had done virtually nothing on her lines which all go back in Missouri several generations before leaving the state to mostly KY. Now her memory is fading a bit, and of course a lot of cousins have passed on. Now, if my mother joins this list, please act ignorant, okay?? I'll try to steer her questions in some way. Give her a little bone here and there. I'm just trying to keep it a surprise how much info I have while also trying to encourage her to remember all those important details. And here is a big favor. If anyone here has relatives who lived in Madison, MO during the depression, they probably knew the Warfords. Would love to hear from them. Also, anyone who might have gone to Central Methodist in Fayette in the early 40s. [My dad, H.L. DuBois, went there, too.] They settled in Marshall in the 50s, which is where I was born and raised before leaving for the "East Coast" in the 70s. Thank you, and again, "mum's the word" in more than one way.... Elizabeth DuBois Russo Simsbury, CT

    3. Thank you for this information. From the census and marriage records I have, I assume that ISAAC FARRIS had a wife prior to MAHALA BYRAM with whom he had four children; and MAHALA must have been a widow with a son, JOHN M. being brought also to the marriage. I do not have children for this couple beyond the THOMAS J. FARRIS, b. abt. 1849. Do you have the names and dates for this couple's first spouses? It would also be great to exchange info on the children. I am theorizing for the moment that your ISAAC and my JOHN were brothers who migrated from IN, and that their father was from KY. My John's descendants also ended up in Randolph County; and earlier tonight Amy Batchelder [THANK YOU] confirmed that JOHN FARRIS and wife REBECCA [DICKSON] FARRIS were buried in the Hebron Cemetery in Macon Co. close to College Mound. Henry died 1845-1848. Henry's father, John Byram's will in Boone County, MO 1852 confirms Henry was deceased and heirs living in Schuyler Co. They had the following children which Mahala brought into the FARRIS marriage: John M. Byram b1841 Ann E. Byram b1842 James D. Byram 1842-1918 married Anthoit B. ??? SMITH Sarah E. Isaac died 14 Feb 1900 southeast of Higbee in Randolph Co, MO and is buried at Fairview Cemetery. He married 1848 in Schuyler Co. to Mahala ROBERTS BYRAM. Census shows them in Schuyler Co 1850 and 1860. I haven't found them 1870, but their daughter,Margaret Ellen, married my gg grandfather Jesse Roberts in Boone County, MO 1868. Isaac and Mahala are in Randolph Co 1880 census. Most of Isaac and Mahala's children are buried at Fairview or Chapel Grove Cemeteries in Randolph County. I have further on their children, if you need it. Cindy
