Hello Listers, I am looking for any relatives/ descendants of Joseph Rooks b 1782 in Ky,and Elizabeth Jackson Rooks b 1790 in Stokes Co NC mar Apr 1807 in Highland Co Oh. Some ch (had 15 total) lived in Putnam and Sullivan Co in 1843, before and after. at Unionville. when a John Rooks was born of a John and Temperance. I know of a grave with a John M Rooks of 7th Missouri Cavalry in the county now. Please contact me as we are trying to put him in his place in our Rooks tree. He may have been son of John and Temperance Jackson Rooks and Gr son of the Joeseph above. Unsure at this time.if this grave is this John. William Rooks, b 1817 was my 2nd Gr granfather and son of the Joseph Rooks above.
