1 Jul 1891 Judge L. TORREY of Sherman township called and requested us to publish for information of relatives that Williard Torrey of Dixfield, Maine died on Feb 19, 1891 aged 87 years, two months, and 7 days. Deceased was a brother of Daniel and Lewis Torrey, formerly of this county. T.C. HILL, postmaster at Quinn, was in to see us Saturday. He reports the death of Mrs. Harriet J. HILL, which occured June 24th. Deceased was the wife of J.F. Hill of Jackson township. She was born Jan. 16, 1838 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, and was married to Mr. Hill in January 1859. In 1870 they moved to Putnam Coutny, MO and have since been a resident. The remains were taken to Walls cemetery for interment. The deceased leaves a husband, six sons, and two daughters to mourn her loss.
