    3. DEATHS... There is a difference in these deathsfrom the ones I had been sending. This is a official reporting by the newspaper and each week they evidently had a column for deaths. In these they give the name, exact date of death and usually age, and cause of death, and usually locale. I know there are duplicates in this to the death notices I've already sent but---most are not and in this case you'd have exact date..instead of "Monday last." the date of issue of newspaper will be top line. Surnames will be in caps. Most of these will be surnames followed by month and day, then first name and so forth. 4 Jul 1888 Issue ACRE--May 16, Ernest L., of Jackson, of whooping cough, aged 2 years. GOUL--June 4, James, of Unionville of softening of the brain, aged 65y,6m,23d 11 July 1888 DAVIS--Leslie U., of Richland, of gangrene of lungs, aged 5y,2m, 6d (no date given) 29 August 1888 Issue KEARNS--Jul 20, A.E.
