28 August 1884, Obit MORRIS---Amanda J. Morris, wife of William R. Morris was born in Van Buren County, Iowa Oct. 10, 1884. Died at West Liberty, Putnam Co. Mo., Aug 19, 1884. At the age of 16 years she joined the Baptist church in which she lived for 24 years. She then joined the U.B. Church until last Jan when she united with the M.E. Church at West Liberty, Mo. She was a loving and affectionate wife and mother. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her death but their loss is her eternal gain. The funeral took place, at the M.E. church at West Liberty, Mo., at 11:00. Not withstanding the inclemency of the weather, quite a crowd gathered at the church to pay the last tribue of respect to her memory. by J.M. PATE
