My great grandmother, Louisa Vashti Summers b. Sept.27, 1861 in Putnam Co. (Youngest child of Greenberry Summers) married Thomas Henry Moore in 1876. He was listed as a "tinkerer". They were divorced in 1922. Thomas Henry Moore died July 16, 1934 in Garnett, Anderson Co. KS. Louisa died May 13, 1942 in Unionville. I can find no relatives of my great grandfather, Thomas Henry Moore. I was told by a niece of Louisa that she remembered Louisa visiting with Moore relatives in the MO - IA area. Are there any Moore's that might connect to my great grandfather?? I found in his obit that he was born in Dover, Mason Co., KY in 1851. I found him as the oldest sibling of the Thomas and Margaret Moore family located there. Other younger siblings and approximate birth date were: Michael 1854, John 1856, Mary A."Mollie" 1858, Christopher 1860, Margaret 1862, Kate 1865 and Lizzie 1869. In the 1870 census Thomas was listed as an apprentice to a carriage maker. Did any Moore's from Putnam or area move to Anderson Co. KS? I would presume he went there to be near family. Of his three sons, two preceded him in death and are buried in Unionville, and the third one lived in Kansas City. His name was Zora Lee Moore and he is buried in Aurora, MO. Any help with these Moore's would be sincerely appreciated. There are millions of we Moore's, and I can't find mine.!!
