Garfield Springs, 30 Jul 1890 Died., Jul 12, 1890 William SHAW, aged 58 years, 6 months and 14 days at his home in Elm Township after a lingering illness of about 7 months. William Shaw was born in champaign County, Ohio, 1832. He emigrated with his father George Shaw to Van Buren County, Iowa in 1848 and to Putnam County, in 1857 where he has since resided. Local 30 Jul 1890 Miss Bertha THOMAS who has been sick for some time with consumption died Tuesday and the remains were interred near Terre Haute on Wednesday. The four months old infant child of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. MCCOY died Tuesday evening afte a long illness. Local, 30 Jul 1890 Ezekiel VINSON, of Graysville was in the city Sunday. Mr. Vinson has returned to Putnam County to reside after several years absence in the west. He recently came from Hastings, Nebraska where he lost his wife by death a short time ago. ****I believe this is VINCENT. In the early days it was spelled Vinson but was Changed.
