LoVella, I went thru all the Guffey's and couldn't find a Martin listed in any of them for any of the census years 1850-80 and 1900. I did find Serrilda Guffey tho in Richland Twp. in 1860. GUFFEY - Joshua 49 farmer KY Delila 42 IN Seabird 16 male MO William 15 " Jane 12 " Elizabeth 10 " Leroy 8 " Serrilda 4 female " Henry 87 farmer VA Since a few of the pages only have initials instead of first names, I checked for anything with an M and couldn't even find any of those. Considering how many Guffey's were in that county, I was surprised at not finding anything. If he went by another name, let me know and I can check that.
