    3. 24 Dec 1890, Local It has been reported to us that Mr. and Mrs. John HOUSER'S twin children died at their home in Sherman township last week. 31 Dec 1890 Died--James Earl, son of Mr. and Mrs. James FANDREE, of lung fever, aged fifteen months and twenty days. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. MEDLIN, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Mendota cemetery. 21 Nov 1890, Obituary Jas. W. PATTERSON, subject of this memoir was born in Augusta County, Va., March 28, 1821, died 23 Nov 1890. Removed to Iowa in the fall of 1855 and settled the following spring in Davis county, where he lived until the spring of 1869 when he removed to Putnam county where he has since lived. He is survived by his wife and seven children, four sons and three daughters, all of whom were present at his death. Father Patterson gave two sons to the service of his country and one to the ministry of the M.E. church, W.E. of the Iowa conference.
