I just got back from an emergency visit to St. Joseph, MO. I got to take one day away and my cousin took me to see the Rose Family Cemetery, Grayville, Putnam Co, MO. We took pictures which I will post when I get them scanned. At the cemetery in one of the buildings was a picture of Benjamin Rose b 1808 and d 1888. It had been donated by Sandy (Smith) Boehme in 1993 from Lucerne, MO. We tried to find her at Lucerne but no one knew who she was. Does anyone have any information on who she is. I am sure she is from Benjmain Rose's second family with Elizabeth Ann Robbins as there was also a picture of Enoch Rose's family. I am from his first family with Sarah Ann Holman. His daughter Susannah Martha Rose was my great grandmother. Any information on these people would be appreciated. If you want a copy of the cemetery pictures, feel free to email me. Thank you. Dear Judy: Sandra Boehme is the daughter of Carl "Cy" and Katherine Rose Smith. Katherine's parents were Hugh Nelson and Mae Rose. Nelson was one of Enoch Rose's sons. I'm sure you can figure the relationship out from there. I am one of the officers of the Rose Cemetery and we are all very greatful to Sandy for her contribution of the pictures of Benjamin and Enoch's family to the Cemetery. I thought she lived in Lucerne. That is where she was the last I heard. Perhaps she has moved. I have all of the burials that I know of in the cemetery. All of the marked graves and what I have been able to find on the unmarked ones. Do you have any information on anybody who is buried there whose grave may not be marked or the stone has weathered away so it can't be read? I would appreciate what you may have. I will be glad to share what I have with you. I am trying to get a list of all of the people buried there, and I know I am missing some, particularly the older graves - like before 1900. John E.
