Sandy, Thank you for looking for me. Could you give me the info for Elijah and Palina Burkhart. I have had a very hard time tracking down my gggrandfather Arthur Keiran. All I know about him is that he appeared in Sullivan County in 1880, married my gggrandmother Mary Waldon and then shot himself in 1906 or 1909. Family history has it that his parents came from Ireland under his mother's maiden name because his father was avoiding forced military service. My grandmother, who is 90 yrs old, said that they wouldn't talk about their life before coming here. Arthur was supposed to have been born in IL in the 1860's and was supposely named after his father. Don't you just love those ancestors that didn't want to leave a trail? Again thank you so much for your help. Mary "Robert Whitsell" <sandyw@thegrid.net> wrote: Hi Mary, Didn't find too much checking the different spellings of both the names. You didn't give any dates or first names to go with the surname. If you're looking for a James R. and Elizabeth Burkhart, they went to Platte Co., MO. Let me know if any of these are the right first names, and I'll send the info. 1900 Census - Lincoln Twp. St. JOHN - Rufus Maggie KEARNS - Mary E. Flory A Martha Minnie A Perl R.
