Lemen, 23 Apr 1885 "Uncle" Geoge DICKSON of Jackson, received a dispatch from Osborn City, Kans., last week, that his son-in-law, Azar HODSON had just died. Mr. Hodson was once a citizen of Putnam. Mr. Dickson started immediately to the aid of the grief stricken daughter. Local, 23 Apr 1885 Early Sunday morning a miner named E. GLASSOCK was struck by a train at Mendota and received injuries from which he died a few hours later. (died Apr 19th) Grant Twp., 30 Apr 1885 Died--April 23, 85 of consumption, Mrs. Martha J. EARHART daughter of J.H. and N. E. FORBES. Deceased was born May 13, 1866, and was married to Zephaniah Earhart, May 11, 1884. The remains were interred at the Livonia grave yard on the 25th. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. MINEAR.
