GOUGH at Kansas City to James TURNER, of this city Monday states the sad news of the death of Thomas D. CLANTON, which occurred Saturday in that city. Mr. CLANTON was a resident of this city for several years. The remains were taken to Louisana, MO for burial. Newtown Item, 2 Jun 1887 Mrs. M.W. COLLINS of this place died Wednesday evening last of what the doctor in attendance pronounced purpua hemorrhagica, possibly contracted in Andersonville prision. The G.A.R. took charge of the funeral. He leaves a wife and four small children in destitute circumstances.
