Mrs. S. was the daughter of Jesse and Hannah WYALDS. Born in Ohio, May 1st, 1848. She moved to the state in 1863 and was married to Jacob Stewart in Nov 1865. She leaves a husband and 8 children with unnumbered friends to mourn her loss. Her presence was always cheerfull; the day was never so cloudy but what she had a smile and some word of encouragement for everyone. She was an affectionate wife and loving mother. Her last hours seemed attended with comfort, thought death was unexpected, she bore her pain with christian foritude , and her happy expression was indicative of Peace with God. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. B. POWERS, after which her last remains were interred in Central City Cemetery.
