Deaths as reported in a Unionville, MO newspaper. 16 Sep 1891, Local J.W. and A.W. JONES have received the particulars of their brother's death which proves to have been accidental instead of suicidal. It appears that Geo. W. was out with a party of hunters, near St. Louis, Montana, and in alighting from a wagon, a gun was accidentally discharged killing the unfortunate man instantly. 16 Sep 1891, Local Miss Bertie STURGEON, who resided near Wyreka, died September 8th. The young lady was in attendance at the Teachers Institute a short time ago, was taken ill and carried home lingering until the time mentioned. She was a school teacher of marked ability and was the main support of her widowed mother and a deaf and dumb brother. By industry and economy, Miss Sturgeon had accumulated considerable property, and the close of her life found her the center of a large circle of friends whose sentiments toward her are best expressed tin the quotation: "None knew her but to love her, none named her but to praise."
