Hello, I'm new to the list and am seeking information on how I would go about getting a copy of the plot map and owners for plots in the Powersville Cemetery. I have a great-great grandfather, grandmother, and two of their children buried there. All have headstones except my great-great grandfather, Erastus Darias Baker. I'm having a really hard time pinning down his birth and death dates. I could probably write for an obituary if I had the death date. He was born about 1831 in Colesville, Broome County, New York and moved to Missouri somewhere around 1850. He died sometime between 1905 and 1910. He applied for a Civil War pension in 1905 and his wife, Jane Louden Christy Baker is living in Clark County, Missouri, as a widow by 1910. His pension was not granted. Is there a Sexton or Cemetery Keeper of some sort that I could write to and get this information? I've been working on this guy for years. Every so often I try again to find exact birth and death dates. He lived so recently I feel I ought to have them. I have pictures. Neither one of their children who are buried there had children. I would love to hear from anyone who might have this information. Hi Everyone, This message came to me, since the author of the message is not a subscriber to our mailing list. I'm forwarding it to the list in case someone can help him. His email address is: vpltz@peoplescom.net Thanks all, I'm in the process of preparing for my big move so I have all my books packed. Linda Greetings, all. When I was visiting the Drake Library last summer in Centerville, Iowa, I ran across a book entitled "The Marriage Records Of Putnam Co., Missouri." I thought I correctly copied down a piece of information from it, but when I sent for the records from the clerk's office in Unionville, the records came back incorrect. Since this was a year ago, and (through moving) I misplaced the record I actually sent for, I think they just copied the wrong page. But, could someone who has this book please verify that this is correct: BALLARD, Spencer to MORGAN, Margatet, Book 1, Page 253 Also, could someone send me the mailing address for the clerk's office, as I could not locate it on the website. Thanks a million. Vince Leibowitz.
