    3. Hi everyone, Thought maybe it was time I posted some of those in Putnam County I'm searching for. GILLASPIE/GLASPIE John Silas born 1873 and died October 1903 (?) He married his first cousin, Mary Ellen Pickering b/28 Nov 1866 and d/29 Sept 1960. They married 16 June 1893 in Exline, Iowa. I'm not sure of the death date. Have a copy of a newspaper notice from Nov, 1903 that a young man named Glaspie had died at his parents home. Only problem is parents to John Silas died years before that in Schuyler County. I am most interested in ANY information on John Silas or his siblings; William, Frances (Frank) Mary and Herman GILLASPIE. PICKERING Parents of Mary Ellen were Ellison V Pickering and Virginia Susan "Ellen" Brown. They are both buried in Shipley Cemetery. BROWN Parents of Virginia Susan were William V Brown and Elisabeth Keys. Would like any information on either of them if possible. RICE/GLASPIE Daisy was a daughter of John Silas and Mary Ellen. I believe she was born about 1900 and died in childbirth in 1925. I'd like to find the obit on Daisy, birthdate, death date, etc. She married Fulton Rice abt 1918-20. There was also a brother to Daisy named Lee GLASPIE who died in infancy. Looking for birth and death date, cemetery, etc. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Sandy in CA

    3. LoVella, I went thru all the Guffey's and couldn't find a Martin listed in any of them for any of the census years 1850-80 and 1900. I did find Serrilda Guffey tho in Richland Twp. in 1860. GUFFEY - Joshua 49 farmer KY Delila 42 IN Seabird 16 male MO William 15 " Jane 12 " Elizabeth 10 " Leroy 8 " Serrilda 4 female " Henry 87 farmer VA Since a few of the pages only have initials instead of first names, I checked for anything with an M and couldn't even find any of those. Considering how many Guffey's were in that county, I was surprised at not finding anything. If he went by another name, let me know and I can check that. 3. Yes Sandy, I have the Comstock Funeral Home Records and they are listed from 1916 to 1991. This is an informative source as it gives alot of information. Much of what you get in it is that which was used to put in the obituary. A great source. Henry Sr. - In 1880, some of his neighbors were: Theodore and Lorra Bixler George and Sarah Harris Richard and Ellinor Badger Thomas and Amanda Forsythe Thomas and Mary Hogges Ellen Blue Henry Dean Jr. (lived right next door) There was also a Martin L. Bennett, age 44, widow, singing teacher born in IN living with Henry Sr and family. Other Dean's listed in the 1900 Census - Sarah, Jessie, Katie William, Christiana, Rook Davis, Charles, Stewart, Jefferson, Elwin Clay, Dora, Daniel, Edwon, Henry Hope that helps some. 3. Hi Connie, Looking for just these 4 surnames, especially Guffey and Davis, there is probably 150 or more entries. Do you have first names? Would you like them all? If that be the case, I would prefer you send me (direct) your address and I'll try and get down to make copies for you and mail them to you. If you only have one or two first names tho, just let me know which ones and will be more than happy to look them up and just email the info.
