I was putting out queries on William Oscar, but looking at another child's information. William WAS the child of William Andrew and Paulina Elizabeth (Harrison) Jackson. The 1860 Census, Central Township, Jefferson County, shows William A. age 30 with the following children: Lucinda age 17, (his sister,) George B, (Benjamin?) age 6, Chase (Charles?) age 4 and Margaret age 1. Are these his and Palina's (Paulina) children? If they are, what happened to them? Are you a descendant or relative of William Oscar Jackson? Mary

    3. Mary, William Oscar Jackson married Laura Cook. The Cook family were cousins to my husband's people so I work the collaterals too since they married back and forth. Had friends check today. W.A. JACKSON Aug. 9, 1830---Aug. 1, 1913 is handcarved on the rock used as headstone. It is in LaClede county close to Laquey. I have the story of why he is buried where he is if you would like to hear it.
