Surnames: Gordon, Haines Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UNB.2ACI/1034 Message Board Post: Robert Ray Gordon Robert Ray Gordon was born in Hancock, Mo., February 16, 1898, and died at the home of his parents in Crocker, Mo., October 27, 1916, aged 18 years, 8 months, and 11 days. Ray, as he was known by his friends, was the son of Mr. And Mrs. Frank Gordon. He grew to manhood in our midst and was an industrious, gentlemanly boy and was well liked by all who knew him. He belonged to the Methodist Church and was also an active member of the Crocker W. O. W. lodge. Ray leaves to mourn his loss his father, mother, two sisters, Goldie and Daphne, one half brother, Rolla Haines, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday noon at the Christian church, Rev. G. F. Bell officiating, and interment was made in the Crocker cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
