She was born and reared on a farm near Crocker. At an early age she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and has since been a faithful member of the Christian Church. She was an active member in both church and the Sunday School and will be greatly missed. She was united in marriage with Harry Henderson, January 1, 1916. To this union was born one child, Gerald Allan. Mrs. Henderson leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, her infant son; her father, J. R. Smith, of Crocker; one brother, J. T. Smith of Crocker; six sisters, Mrs. A. O. Brown and Miss Madria Smith, all of Crocker; Mrs. O. Hale, of Hancock, Mo.; Mrs. Claude Thornsberry, Faith, Mo; and Mrs. H. L. Nigh, of Pretty Prairie, Kansas; besides a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Crocker cemetery. “Gone but not forgotten.” Published in The Crocker News, Pulaski County, Missouri on Thursday, December 21, 1916.
