Wilhelm was born in Montgomery County, Illinois, on June 20, 1855, and departed this life March 21, 1915, aged 55 years, 9 months, and 1 day. He was at home near Crocker at the time of his death. He leaves a wife; four sons, George W., James, Mack, and Jacob; one daughter, Isabel; three brothers and one sister to mourn his lose, besides a host of friends. Mr. Wilhelm lived a Christian life and his last words were "I am going to Heaven". Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in the Joiner Cemetery Monday afternoon, by Rev. E. M. Vance.
