But they are from Germany and sometimes it is spelled Leppert. I dont know much about this family. (my husband's family) I think they are from outer space because I cant find any information on them. the most I have is Fredrick Ieppert born in the early 1900's married Lorene Jacobs. I know they were in Michigan in the 1920's and Missouri in the 1930's. I was told they changed the name when they came to the US. Sometimes it is spelled eippert or ippert, eppert, and it could have been shortened. Sorry I cant be much help. Kay
