E. Hawkins (we believe the "J" is for John or James). He was born in Pulaski County on 31 March 1835. He married Ms. Althalia Ann Wallace and settled in Floras Creek, Curry County, Oregon in June of 1884. One of their sons, my Great Grandfather, Harvey A. Hawkins, was born in 1861.
