Hello Rea: We do have some surnames in common. some of our ancestors were killed by bushwhackers. Also I have lots of family associated with Big Piney. In fact I was born there in 1941 and so were many other relatives. Some of my family has married into the Sanders, Long, Page/Sneed, McDonald and other families. I do have more information on Lydia Jane Page and her family, as well as some of the Sneeds. Unless my memory fails me, my family lived on the Old McDonald Farm, just across the Big Piney River from what used to be Big Piney. I remember crossing the ford with a horse and wagon at the McDonald Farm on the Big Piney River. It was a short cut to Big Piney, rather than go back up the 3/4 mile dirt and gravel road to then cross the old iron girder and wooden bridge to Big Piney. Can you tell me more about Karen Carroll, one of your school bus drivers? I will send some of those connections if you are interested.
