I am seeking photographs of St. Anne school and Church, the Cookville store and mill plus what was known as the Schaap home that burned in 1922. All of these places were on the Fort Leonard Wood reservation. The properties were sold to the Gov around 1940 and buildings torn down. The Schaap house was actually in Laclede county and the front yard on the county line. [there is a strip of land .5 mile wide and 10 miles long that has been in Laclede county, but has recently been given to the Mark Twain National Forest for their oversight.] The Schaap house was a two story log home with a fireplace at each end. I'm seeking a photo of it or a well written description, that might have been handed down, where by a drawing could be made. There are some photos in the County history books, but there has to be more and perhaps better ones in family photo books etc. Any assistance, suggestions etc., will be greatly appreciated. K.L.
