    1. [MOPULASKI] Re: Phillips & Burchard family in Pulaski county 1857 - 1920's
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UNB.2ACI/959.1 Message Board Post: Rhonda, You didn't reply to my first message so I didn't know you were interested in what I had. This is not my family, I am just a volunteer looking up in the books I have for other people. What I show is that John R. Burchard was the son of James Harvey and Margaret (Lewis) Burchard. Apparently, James was killed by bushwhackers in 1863. So John R. and your Louisiana were brother and sister. Be sure to read my two reply's as there is some information in there you might be interested in. Both James and Margaret are buried in the Burchard Cemetery which I am told is in extremely bad condition. Your Louisiana is also buried there, but her husband Daniel is not listed. Here is what is the headstone inscription book: James H. Burchard 15 May 1815 - 17 Aug 1863 Margaret Burchard 1827 - 12 Jun 1909 (apparetnly they were unable to read the rest of the birth date) Louisiana Phillips 8 Nov 1857 - 17 Sep 1921 There is an obituary available for Louisiana, but not for her parents. If you want it, I will get it as soon as possible. There is a large amount of snow headed our way, so I am not sure when that will be. Let me know if you want it or not. Mary Case
