The church was established in 1834. (T34-R10-S07) Pulaski County Obituaries "Lewis Lane d. 19 Feb 1944, m.Virginia" (Obit dated 24 Feb 1944 Dixon Pilot-no mention of children) "Virginia E. Lane b. (74 yr 5 mo 29 ds), d. 12 Feb 1944, m. Lewis Lane" (Obit dated 17 Feb 1944 Dixon Pilot-no mention of children) It would appear that James went by his middle name which apparently was Lewis. "Walker B. Lane born 26 Aug 1876, died 9 Apr 1908 buried Laughlin Cemetery, Pulaski Co., MO" Laughlin, Ballard: and old family cemetery on Ft. Leonard Wood. There are 10 unmarked graves.
