    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UNB.2ACI/1063.1 Message Board Post: Hi Mary, I am not related, but I do lookup requests in Pulaski County for people. I have some informationthat you may or may not have, that that I found in various books I own. William and Cora are buried in the Dixon Cemetery and their headstones reads as follows: William Petty 1860-1940 Cora A. Petty 1877-1950 Cora's first husband is buried at Pisgah Cemetery and his headstone reads: Vernie E. Hance 8 Nov 1881 - 19 Apr 1904 There is also a Mary Petty Brown buried at Pisgah Cemetery, but evidently she doesn't have a headstone, and the church records just states that she is buried there, no other information. And in early marriage records, it just states that she married a man with the last name Brown about 1866. I do not know if this is your Mary Elizabeth Petty or not. In the Pulaski County History II, it just says that Mae Petty was the Elementary School Principa; about 1929-1930. I am assuming that is the Lola Mae Petty that you mentioned. I could not find anything else on her. In the Pulaski Co. Marriage Book, it says that Cora Hance married William Petty on Aug. 9, 1907. HOWEVER, the obituary abstract book says that they married on 07-15-1907, so I don't know which date is correct. As I mentioned, there is an obituary abstract book which lists names of people that have obituaries in local papers. If you are interested, there are obituaries available for both William and Cora. I will be glad to get them for you the next time I go to the library, which could be a week or so. The abstract says that William was 79years, 11 months, and 23 days old when he died on Nov. 17, 1940. Cora's says she was born Nov. 15, 1878 and died Dec. 20, 1950. It also says she married Vern Hance about 1896. There is also an obituary available for an Elizabeth Petty Matthews and I am thinking that it could be your Mary Elizabeth Petty. So I can also check on that if you are interested. Let you know if you want obituaries or not. Mary Case
