I understand that David A. Starr, Sr. lived with David A. Starr, Jr. and his wife Rebecca Yandell back in Arkansas in Scott County in the 1880's. My grandmother would tell me stories about him (David Starr, Jr.). He was a farmer. I assume that David Starr, Sr. was a farmer too. I am desperately trying to find David Starr, Sr.'s lineage. I know from stories from my grandmother that we are definitely related to Sam Starr of Belle Starr fame. She remembers stories of him in the family. She also remembers that when the census came along they didn't want to go to be registered as they felt it was the sign of Satan to be given a number. I don't know who registered.
