Posted on: Pulaski Co MO Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Pulaski/740 Surname: Riley ------------------------- Hoping someone will help us make a connection. Following is what we believe is a portion of our family genealogy. I'm leaving out the most current and starting with the Riley portion. James Valentine Riley, born January 2, 1855, Maries County Missouri. First record we have is 1870 census from Hunt County Texas where he is listed as a nephew living with Anderson Jackson Beezley. JV Riley remembers an aunt (we believe Parmelia Jane Riley who married Beezley) taking him and he looked back to see his home burning. This would probably have been during the Civil War. These are the people we believe he was related to: Father David Riley (wife unknown). Last census 1850, age 17. Abraham Riley, 1850 Pulaski County Missouri census, 57 yrs, born VA Catherine Riley, 1850, Pulaski County Missouri census, 51 yrs, born VA David W., 17, born IN Margaret Ann, 15, born IN Amanda P., 13, born IN William F., 10, born IN Andrew J., 8, born MO We believe Abraham and Catherine were living in Orange County, Indiana and are related to Edward Riley. Abraham is listed on the 1820 Orange County census as follows: 6 males under 10, 1 male 26 to 45, 1 female under 10, one female 26 to 45. He is also listed in Edward Riley's will of 1820. Do you have any records that might help us.
