Have any marriage records for Pulaski County been published in book form? Chris
Hello everyone. I'm looking for information on my ROBERTSON ancestors who spent quite a number of years in Pulaski County. Among them is my great-great grandmother MARY ALICE Robertson (1868-1949), born in Pulaski County to MARMADUKE Robertson (1828-1884) and PARTHENIA BETHANY BRAKE (ca 1829-ca 1909). Both Marmaduke and Parthenia are buried at Crocker Cemetery there in Pulaski County. I'd be very grateful for any information on this line of Robertsons. I also checked the Pulaski County History Books and they were not in there either. I also check for John and Catherine in the history books and didn't find them in there either. Let me know if you want John and Catherine's headstone pictures. If you do, I will put them on my list, but it could be a while before I can get them. Mary

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UNB.2ACI/968.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Helen, I was beginning to give up on you answering me! Here is what I found. The name of the cemetery is Warren-McCortney. It is located on the banks of the Piney River. It is in a field and there are about 14 graves in the cemetery. The information on the stone is: John Foster b. 4 Jun 1818 and died 14 Nov 1887, Catherine Foster born 1814 and died 14 Nov 1881. Evidently, the person that was reading the stone was unable to read the birth month and day because they just put dots in the spots where the month and day was. I do not know when I might be able to get over there as it is a ways from where we live and the price of gas is so high right now. However, if you are wanting headstone pictures, let me know and I will put your request on a list and let you know when I am able to get over there. Mary

My paternal grandmother's parents were George Louis Borders who married Mollie Gibbs, then after she died following childbirth, her sister Margaret Gibbs. My grandmother was Effie Ellen Borders b. 1894. She had siblings Opal, Clara, George, Lee, and Allie. Effie married my grandfather John Harrison Eads in 1912. He was quite the character too, and old family story is that he ran with some of the Borders who owned an adjoining farm...was so drunk at the wedding he could hardly stand up! Her parents didn't want her to marry John Eads, but young love won out....lots of heartbreak to the end of that story! Will share Borders/Gibbs/Eads info. as I know it if anyone connects. Thanks.
