When you get a chance, please send me those peoples names so if I ever need to direct someone to those people I will already have that information. As for Celeste, I don't think Crocker has a newspaper right now, but I don't know about 1991. I will just have to check and see when I go to the library. You don't happen to have a day she died do you? I do not find a phone number for a Clarence Sinkbell or Senkbeil in my phone book. I did find Celeste's parents buried in Bethany Cemetery which is north of Crocker on Hwy. 17. Is that also where Celeste is buried? Mary

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UNB.2ACI/982.1.1 Message Board Post: Mary, Thanks for answering. After posting this message I found out from my cousin in New Jersey who is helping me look up things on sites you have to pay for that she died in Okaloosa, Florida. I think tho since Clarence still lives in Crocker that it would have been posted there. If it isn't I will check the Okaloosa papers. Oh, by the way I was in Crocker one week ago this past Wednesday. I was visiting Lou's 3rd cousin in Springfield and she decided to drive to Crocker and find the Porter cemetery. We found the farm but could not get down into the field to get pictures of the graves. So the father of the son who lives on the property took our names and my e-mail address and what graves we wanted pictures of. The daughter in law wrote me that she had taken the pictures and made a CD and is sending it to me. We were really happy about that. Thanks again--Joyce

    2. Wayne Carroll
    3. Hello Mike: I do not know the location of the Shockley cemetery but have a question. It is apparent that you are interested in the Shockley surname. My gg grandmother was Mary Magdlene Kinsley Shockley. I think that Mary Magdlene Kinsley might have been her maiden name and married a Shockley. However I do not have anything else to go on. She married my gg grandpa Robert Tayer Elkins. I do not know where they were married nor where they were from. At this time I do not know where they are buried etc. If you have any information on the Shockley family that might lead me to my gg grandma Mary Kinsley Shockley, I sure would appreciate it. Yours truly, Wayne

    3. I'm looking for the precise location of Shockley Cemetery and Shockley School in Pulaski county. I'm told the school is now gone. I suspect both are (were) in the northern part of section 12, somewhere along Shockley road. They were named after the Shockley family. I was wondering if anybody can describe their location from this map: http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=37.86306&lon=-92.19806&datum=NAD27&s=24&size=l Thanks, Mike

Just a notation that he was born in IL about 1856. There are about 12 pages of VanLoon's and who they married and children's name etc. If you want copies of those pages, I can get them the next time I am in town which could be a couple of weeks. I really appreciate your help. I don't know why my grandfather's marker would have A.W. on it instead of A.C. His eldest son was A. W. and he and another brother handled the arrangements for the cemetery and for the funeral. I still believe that Oscar has to be a cousin because I have learned that for awhile my grandparents were neighbors to Oscar's sister, Odessa Schoonover Hix. It would be strange for 2 unrelated families to be in the same area with that name. All Schoonovers in the USA descend from two brothers back in the early 1600s so that being the case, Oscar has to be related one way or another! This is getting interesting, thank you! Lori
