Can anyone tell me what newspapers were available about 30 yrs ago in the Pulaski area? And where would copies be found if available yet today? I am looking for a military obit. Also, are there FLW yearbooks from that time frame at any location in Pulaski Co? Appreciate any feedback on the above? Thanks, Ellie S.
Posted on: Pulaski Co MO Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Mo/Pulaski/10793 Surname: Fenton, Adair, Blackwell, King ------------------------- Thank you Stephanie for your response. I have Charles Edward Fenton, born Jan 1883, died 1966, married Nancy Edith King on 18 Aug 1910. Their children were: Robert F. Fenton, Charles Everett Fenton, William B. Fenton and Wilma Fenton who married Lowell Adair. However, info is limited. Not sure if there were more children of "Uncle Charley and Aunt Edith". I remember them very briefly. My dad, Charles Orville Blackwell (1912-1961) drowned in June 1961, and Lowell Adair, Robert, Wm. and Everett Fenton were pall bearers at his funeral. Perhaps we can get together via email and exchange information. Thank you. Wanda
Stephanie, Based on the 1880 Pulaski County census, I think that Thomas and Elizabeth Fenton are going to the the people you are looking for. They had four children listed, John, William, Bertly, and Thomas, with Thomas being born in ca 1879, and John being the oldest at 12. Charles E was born ca 1883. In the 1910 census there is only two Fenton families listed. One is William H. and Rebecca E. Fenton. Their children were Mary E, age 5, Charles E. age 4, and William F. age 2. The William H. listed is probably a son of Thomas. Rebecca is his second wife, them being married only 2 years in 1910. Thomas Jr was married to Mae Reed. They have two children listed, Jessie, and Williene. Both of the families were living in Liberty Township. There are non Fentons listed before the 1880 census. Hope this helps some. If I come up with anything else I will let you. Could your Archibald EVANS be related somehow to Rebecca EVANS b.1814 in Hawkins County, Tennessee? I believe her father was an Archibald Evans, and I am looking for information on this Archibald and his family.
