    1. [MOPULASK] Fw: Ozark Mountain Home
    2. Shirley A Scott
    3. Please respond directly to this individual as they are NOT on the list. Thank you. Forwarded by the ListAdmin for: [email protected] Have you ever heard of an Orphans Home in the South west of MO called Ozark Mountain Home? About 1936 my father put me and my sister in an orphan home. As I got older I realized it was run by the Seventh Day Adventist. It was a sad story because we were not orphans! Mom and Dad divorced. We lived in Sherman, TX and Dad in Muskogee, OK. Mom had to have an operation and ask Dad to keep us for 2 months. Two month and Mom came for us. When Mom found out what happened all hell broke loose. She came with the police and all I remember The policeman yelling at the man who ran the orphans home and showing him papers. This home was in the country , 2 story and 16 girls in it. A boys unite up on a hill and lots of wild berries and a creek running in front of the house. We went thru a fence from a country road that lead to the back of the house. If you know of such a place please let me know. Sincerely, [email protected]

    1. [MOPULASK] Manes Cem
    2. Dave Goodrich
    3. To get to Manes cem. take Hwy 7 out of Richland towards Swedeborg. After a couple of miles and there will a sign for a horse stable on the left hand side. This is the road you need to turn on. Go about a half a mile and on the left there will be a small road that leads to a couple of homes. Turn left there. As soon as you turn left you will be able to see the cem. When you are on 7 heading towards Swedeborg, the sign for the stable is hard to see. If you get to the county garage area where they keep the equipment you have gone to far. turn around and the sign is easier to see. Good Luck Dave

Date: Wed, 27 Jun 2001 19:03:48 -0700 Hi, new to this list and Pulaski, Missouri research. Where is the best place to send for the obit of Rev. Jess Stone in the Swedeborg/Richland area? According to the SSDI, he died Jul 1980 in Richland. His sister's obit in 1939 listed him as a minister in Swedeborg so he had lived in that area for many years. He was my husband's great uncle.
