Ayres is my gg-grandfather. He and C.C(Christopher Columbus) were both from Alburn's second marriage to Mary (Ball) both of which are buried in Polk County, Missouri. Unfortunatly, it seems that a lot of individuals are stuck as to obtaining any information regarding Alburn's past in Virgina, such as exact birthplace, parents, etc. I am currently trying to research the children from Alburn & Nancy's marriage as they seem to be the best bet for any Virgina ties. I would love to share any information regarding the Missouri side, and am currently researching at the Polk County Genealogy Society, were I did obtain a copy of Alburn's will. Please note that during George, CC, and Samuel's years there was a change in the Ayres spelling to Ayers. Stories around here are that there was a "split" between brothers, and therefore the slight spelling change of the name. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
