There has been a lot of activity re Slagle Cemetery so I will toss my question into the mix. Judith Acock, w/o Samuel Ross was born in 1785 in NC and died in Polk County, MO bef 1850. We think she is buried at Slagle Cemetery. She was mother of Robert Ross, who is called Elder. Robert is credited with being instrumental with the establishing of Slagle Baptist Church. We have photos of Robert and wife, Luraney,s, gravestones in Slagle Cemetery. There are some weathered stones near their graves that might be Judith's marker, but there is nothing legible on them. Is it possible that a cemetery book might have the location of her grave? Also, now that I have your attention, does someone have information re Luraney,s maiden name?
