In my Great-Great-Grandfather's Civil War pension record (Thomas Benton Bronaugh--24th MO Inf, and 2nd Kansas Cav--Union--he grew up in Polk Co, MO, but lived most of his adult life in TN and AR) there are two affidavits from Polk Co. I'm interested in making contact with anyone who might have some information on these individuals or their families: Sallie Hurst, Post Office Address--Bolivar, Polk Co, MO. Age 75 (Date of affidavit 21 February 1893). Margaret Coley or Caley, Post Office Address--Bolivar, Polk Co, MO. Age 50 (Date of affidavit 21 February 1893). I've done some census searching but haven't turned up anything yet. I'm hoping to find out if these individuals were neighbors of the family or relatives. Thanks, Cindy Kennedy Shebbear: A village in Devon, England. From the Old English, "sceaftbearu" --the grove where poles were cut.
