I live in greene county and we go to cem in polk county ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, August 10, 2003 9:48 AM Subject: Re: [MOPOLK] Greene County Churches In Greene County, very close is now the Polk Co. line, Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church was established at Cave Spring in 1839. The existing building dates back to 1869 or so. This is where my family from McMinn Co., TN went to church in 1852. There is a cemetery attached to the Church. I'm not sure of the name. I would assume that it is Mt. Zion Cemetery. A distant cousin and I tried to measure the distance but it was impossible. We don't know where the roads were in 1852 nor whether current roads are the same. But despite it seeming like a long way, it couldn't have been more than a couple of miles as the crow flew.
