Sandi I have Robert Hunt Fisher married Eliza Ingles 4 April 1860. The Ingles family seems to have come to Polk County a little earlier than the Fishers. Do you know what part of KY the Ingles came from. I'm wondering if they Knew each other from Barren County. Alice mentioned the high number of families that came from Barren county and I think it would be interesting to hear from any others whose family came from there. If I can be of any help let me know. The families from Barren County that I'm familiar with settled mainly in the NE corner of Polk County. Some of the names are Huckaby, Bridges, Francis, Bradshaw, Kinslow, Meadors, and Payne. A lot of these families are buried in Hopewell Cemetery.
